At ValeriaVH we work with a single, extraordinary material: regenerated cashmere from the historic textile district of Prato, in Tuscany. It is the rarest, most refined expression of an Italian craft tradition that has shaped luxury knitwear for more than two centuries.
I.
Since the early 1800s, the mills of Prato have been the world's silent capital of cashmere regeneration. Long before the rest of the industry began to speak of circularity, Tuscan master spinners were already perfecting the art of giving the finest fibres a second life. To choose regenerated cashmere is not to follow a trend — it is to continue a craft.

Regenerating cashmere is more demanding than spinning virgin fibre. Each strand must be selected, sorted by hue and grade, carded, and re-spun by hand-trained specialists. Only a handful of mills in the world possess this expertise. The result is a yarn of exceptional softness and depth — refined by the very process that brought it back to life.

Every fibre we use carries a story. A previous life, a previous hand, a previous warmth. We believe this is what gives our pieces their quiet character — a softness with history, a luxury with conscience. Each ValeriaVH garment is woven from memory and made to become memory in turn.
True luxury is not measured by what is taken from the world, but by the care with which it is given back. This is the only material we use — and the only one we ever needed.
